When I went to see Pompey vs Newcastle a couple of seasons ago, Setanta Sports moved it to 5.15pm, so I missed the train home and ended up kipping the night on a coach from London Euston - Milton Keynes and then back to London Euston.

And I had something like 73p to last me through the night as well!

Oh, and it was 0-0 and the worst game I've ever seen. Talk about catastrophic bad luck!

Subject : "Follow that car"

Some years ago, too many to mention, we were going to Blackpool to watch the Rovers, my dad driving and my Grandad the navigator. Once past Manchester we spotted a red n white scarf hanging from a car window, follow that car was the call they will know where the ground is. Anyway we followed then lost said car so pulled up outside a pub where I asked if they could tell me where Blackpool’s football ground was and in the best Scouse accent he told me "It will be in f**king Blackpool id think". Managed to get there for the second half.
